Comedian, Actor, Presenter, Moron.

Actor and comedian Jeff Leach is a young man hell bent on world domination. He started acting at the tender age of four years old, with a lead cross-dressing role as ‘Madame Diptheria Iceberg’ in his first school production and hasn't stopped performing since then. The cross-dressing never caught on though.

At university, Jeff nabbed the position of station manager and drive-time host for his student radio station, and secured himself work at commercial stations Mercia FM, Kerrang! And Xfm whilst still studying. He also spent this time honing his skills as a improvisation and sketch comedy actor as part of the ‘Improverts’ giving him invaluable skills in the art of character acting. Once university had run it’s course, he performed as part of the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Complete Works Festival in a lead role and once again got to wear tights. This time it just felt nice rather than sexually confusing.

In 2008 Jeff met a producer, whilst DJ’ing at Bestival, who picked up on his engaging presence and evident comic timing and offered him a screen test. Jeff was immediately signed up to present for the BBC, fronting The Surgery and Scene Stealers for BBC Switch in 2008. Since then he has presented T in the Park Festival, Big Brother’s Big Mouth, Virgin Media On Demand, Celebrity Scissorhands, V Festival 2009/2010/2011,  and Comic Relief Naughty Bits.

He now performs his own opulent and revealing brand of stand up comedy whilst writing and performing sketch and character pieces. In the past year he has become a London New Comedian Awards Finalist, Laughing Horse New Act and Leicester Square New Comedian semi-finalist and performed sold out shows at Edinburgh Festival 2010, Leicester Comedy Festival 2010, Manchester Comedy Festival 2011 and Oxjam Comedy Festival.

He currently presents BBC1's 'The National Lottery', Current TV's 'What Did I Do Last Night?' in both the UK and US all of Virgin Media On Demand's music programmes and is developing both comic and serious authored documentary shows for with both Zig Zag Productions and Leafstorm Projects for television. He also finds time to run his own series of London based 'Leach On Laughter (LOL) Comedy Clubs' and curate comedy shows for Branchage Film Festival.

Jeff will be performing his debut one hour solo stand-up show 'Jeff Leach : A Leach On Society' at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2011 at The Pleasance Courtyard every day at 11pm August 3rd-29th (not 19th-21st).

He just wants to help the world cultivate the habit of laughter. That means you.
